About the Role
Actalent is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in identifying project opportunities, preparing accurate bids, and supporting our preconstruction efforts. Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular in-person and phone communication.Monitor plan centers daily to identify relevant projects in your assigned market.Analyze project drawings and specifications to determine material and equipment needs.Prepare accurate and timely project proposals aligned with customer requirements.Review bid documents for completeness and compliance.Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to gather pricing, availability, and technical details.Ensure all bids are submitted on time and meet all requirements.Stay informed on federal, state, and local regulations impacting our industry.Participate in weekly team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.Manage shifting priorities and schedules while maintaining professionalism and profitability.Qualifications2+ years of experience in estimating, project coordination, or a related construction role.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Familiarity with construction materials, equipment, and terminology.Proficiency with estimating software is a plus.Top SkillsEstimating & BiddingBlueprint ReadingConstruction Materials & MethodsProject CoordinationVendor & Supplier CommunicationTime ManagementPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $43.00/hr.
