Job Title: EstimatorJob Description We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team in Florida, with opportunities to work from our Pompano Beach, Titusville, or Bartow locations. The Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost, time, materials, labor, and equipment required for various projects by analyzing proposals and project requirements. This role involves working closely with project managers, contractors, accountants, and operations employees to develop comprehensive financial and budget analyses for projects ranging from $2,000 to $10,000,000 across industries such as Industrial, Theme Parks, Aerospace/Space Exploration, Mining, Marine/Port Construction, Power, and Disaster Recovery. Responsibilities + Review data to determine material and labor requirements and prepare itemized lists. + Attend pre-bid meetings and job-site visits. + Develop proposals and cost estimates for remediation and large industrial services RFPs. + Compute cost factors and prepare estimates for management purposes such as planning, organizing, scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness. + Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hours and related cost data or effect cost reductions. + Consult with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. + Interface with other individuals in the organization to obtain support and commitment to the cost estimates. + Organize and manage a centralized cost estimating database and a formal process to support cost estimating to ensure historical data is utilized. + Analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs and determine the reason for any discrepancies. + Provide improvement recommendations to cost estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual costs. + Identify cost trends to assist management in cost reduction and process improvement efforts. + Prepare and participate in bid and quote reviews with members of the executive leadership team. + Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and relevant professional development training. + Maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and proposal tracking up-to-date. Essential Skills + 5+ years of estimating experience, proposal development, and field sales/pricing experience. + Ability to analyze complex or diverse information. + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. + Technical writing experience and ability to draft complex proposals/bids. + Thorough understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures. + Proficiency in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis. + Experience with analytic tools, such as spreadsheets and database management. + Ability to read and interpret technical documents. + Ability to multi-task and handle multiple competing priorities while meeting deadlines. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Deltek Vision/Vantage Point project software, preferred. + Excellent written communication and interpersonal communication skills. + Exceptional time management skills. Work Environment The position primarily involves working in an office environment, with periodic site and client visits. Candidates can work from Pompano Beach, Titusville, or Bartow locations. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $49.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
