Job Description

A leading construction technologies company is seeking an Estimator to efficiently complete takeoffs on multiple projects each week. The role requires a strong understanding of security and low voltage systems, as well as the ability to present oneself professionally in client-facing situations.

ResponsibilitiesComplete takeoffs on multiple projects weekly.Understand the scope and intricacies of projects involving security and low voltage systems.Utilize Excel and other takeoff software to prepare bids.Work independently while collaborating closely with project coordinators for material orders and purchasing.Perform piping calculations and estimate piping lengths.Interface with clients to address discrepancies.Coordinate with vendors and contractors to gather pricing information.Essential SkillsProficiency in low voltage systems and blueprint reading.Strong estimation skills with experience using estimating software.Background in construction and electrical work.Ability to perform takeoffs and manage bidding processes.Mathematics proficiency.Strong client interfacing, interpersonal, and communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsPreferred Background in construction management.Experience with commercial projects, both public and private.Knowledge of systems such as Securitas and Schneider Electric.Work Environment

This position requires working on-site or in-office five days a week. The work environment is collaborative, with opportunities to interface with various stakeholders including clients, vendors, and contractors.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $85000.00/hr.
