Estimator (Novato)

This role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and contributing to the successful delivery of competitive bids—particularly in the K-12 and public works sectors.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop conceptual, budgetary, and GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) estimates.Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing for materials, labor, and equipment.Lead subcontractor outreach efforts and participate in job walks.Ensure timely submission of proposals and bids.Analyze and evaluate subcontractor proposals for accuracy and completeness.Define scopes of work, project schedules, and procurement strategies.Prepare competitive lump sum bids.Conduct constructability reviews and value engineering assessments.Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and design teams throughout the preconstruction phase.Required Skills & CompetenciesEstimating and cost analysisProject and construction managementPreconstruction planningK-12 and public works project experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimating softwareStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to interpret construction documents, including architectural and structural drawingsKnowledge of unit costs, subcontractor risk factors, and construction contractsSpreadsheet modeling and project scheduling

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
