Job Description An employer in Houston, TX is seeking a Structured Cabling Estimator to join their team. The Estimator is responsible for Structured Cabling/ Voice Data System Design and detailed specifications. The Estimator will be responsible to assemble materials and labor estimates for proposals and bids. Determine material quantities, pricing, and labor to complete the installation according to the customers expectations. Skills and Requirements Minimum of 5-year estimation experience within the structured cabling/ low voltage/ data center/ audio visual space   Previous experience within business development; building relationships with manufacturers and clients to procure new business   Previous experience developing comprehensive, voice and data bids for customers, including low voltage wiring, trim-out, equipment rack setup-layout, and system processing. Familiar with creating job packets to include a bill of materials, accurate equipment order sheets, scope of work for the installation, scope of work for the programming, contact list (project information sheet PIS), job safety requirements, and one-line drawings.
