Minimum requirements:
Minimum 2 to 3 years in estates administration / legal secretarial experience Certificate/diploma in estates administration advantageous Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, AJS advantageous Our client requires someone who will provide a proactive, high-quality service to the firm and clients. The ideal candidates needs to be a team player, well presented, professional and have excellent communication skills Duties include: Administration of Estates, Curatorships and Trusts Drafting letters and emails to the Master’s Office, banks, finance companies, beneficiaries, creditors and SARS Preparing documents relating to estates, curatorships and trusts Drafting and placing statutory advertisements Attending to deal with queries from clients and third parties, both electronically and telephonically Opening and closing of files, electronically and manually Diarising of files Updating files, electronically and manually Scanning and filing Preparation and despatching of invoices and statements Attending to payments – general and monthly Drafting status reports on matters FICA – collection of documents and FICA of clients General administrative duties General assistance to Senior Associate – taking of calls
