The Logistics Procurement Leader LATAM plays a critical role in managing LATAM regional logistics costs for chemical products, including road, sea, and air transportation, as long as warehousing. This role requires knowledge of the logistics market dynamics for chemical supply chain and regulatory compliance. The Leader ensures cost-effective, safe, and compliant transportation solutions aligned with operational and business needs. Needs to analyze data, should-be costs, cost renegotiation, support to prepare RFI/RFQs, strategy implementation and carriers/vendors management.

REQUISITES

Logistics Procurement: Source and negotiate contracts for warehousing and freight services (road, sea, air) tailored to the specific requirements of chemical products, including hazardous materials.Market Intelligence: Monitor logistics market trends, fuel surcharges, and carrier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and EH&S teams to align logistics strategies with production schedules, safety standards, and customer requirements.Issue Resolution: Address and resolve price negotiation, KPIs disruptions and compliance issues with logistics providers, ensuring minimal impact on operations.System & Data Management: Maintain accurate logistics cost data and supplier information in ERP/procurement systems; support reporting and analytics for performance tracking.Compliance & Safety: Ensure all logistics activities comply with chemical transport regulations, internal safety policies, and sustainability goals.Key Skills & Qualifications:Graduation in Logistics, SCM, Finance, Engineering, Economy or similar areasProven experience in logistics procurement (bulk, LTL, FTL, sea, road, 3PL, warehousing, etc.) within the chemical or hazardous materials sectorStrong negotiation and contract management skillsKnowledge of chemical transport regulations, SCM, Incoterms and safety standardsAnalytical skills with experience in cost modeling and logistics KPIsProficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP), advanced Excel skills, procurement tools: we can provide training for Tableau, TMS, Coupa, if needed.Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilitiesFluent English and intermediate Spanish required as part of daily activities
