ESHQ Integrators Program Managers

We’re hiring Nuclear & Hazardous Materials Techs / ESHQ Integrators at both Program Manager 3 and 4 levels. Job Summary: The ESHQ Integrator provides integrated, effective Environmental, Safety, Health, and Quality (ESHQ) service delivery across facility operations, supporting strategic and tactical planning between the Laboratory’s Associate Laboratory Director (ALD) and ESHQ core divisions. This role helps drive continuous improvement in safety, compliance, and performance across complex nuclear projects. Level 3 – ESHQ Integrator / Program Manager 3 Salary: $125,200 – $211,300 Responsibilities include: + Track and communicate ESHQ performance metrics, assessments, and improvement recommendations + Build and maintain long-term customer relationships + Collaborate with core divisions to align budgets and funding for ESHQ service lines + Communicate customer feedback and advocate for process improvements Level 4 – ESHQ Integrator / Program Manager 4 Salary: $138,500 – $233,200 In addition to Level 3 responsibilities: + Demonstrated leadership in cross-organizational ESHQ programs + Advanced technical expertise in radiation protection and safety + Lead program management activities including scope, schedule, and budget for radiological safety projects + Strategize and drive process improvements and stakeholder engagement Minimum Job Requirements (All Levels): + Technical leadership experience in ESHQ portfolios + Advanced knowledge in radiation protection and regulatory compliance + Proficient in project management, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional leadership + Ability to support compliance with DOE, legal, and national standards + Strong verbal and written communication skills with executive-level reporting capabilities Preferred Certifications: + Certified Safety Professional (CSP) + Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) + Certified Health Physicist (CHP) HRP Requirement: This position is subject to the DOE Human Reliability Program (HRP) as per 10 CFR Part 712, including medical/psych evaluations and drug/alcohol testing. Education and Experience Requirements: + Level 3: Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant ESHQ/project management experience + Level 4: Bachelor's degree with 12 years of relevant experience + Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered Desired Qualifications: + Active or transferable DOE Q clearance + Experience supporting radiation protection or nuclear facility operations (DOE/NNSA preferred) + Background in integrated project teams and craft workforce coordination Work Conditions: + Essential functions: sitting, standing, typing, overhead reaching, stair and ladder climbing + PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, dosimetry in radiological areas Work Location: This is a full-time onsite position based in Los Alamos, New Mexico. Remote or hybrid work is not available.
