ESG Analyst
**What You'll Do** We’re looking for an ESG Analyst to join our Real Estate Investment team to support our commercial real estate private debt and equity sustainable investment platform In this role, you’ll be responsible for assisting with the execution of sustainability strategies that drive improved financial and environmental performance across our diverse global portfolio. + Support execution of sustainability projects and initiatives at the property and portfolio levels. Examples include energy and water efficiency projects, sustainability best practices, physical and transition risk analysis and mitigation, green and healthy building certifications, and property manager training and support. + Respond to investor and consultant requests for sustainability data and reporting. + Assist with data management oversight and compliance including sustainability data collection and quality control, analyzing and reporting performance data and monitoring and interpreting performance trends. + Assist with external reporting initiatives such as GRESB, CDP, PRI, SFDR and TCFD. + Conduct research and investigation into industry trends, best practices, and sustainability-related topics. + Develop visually pleasing and creative internal and external communications deliverables, such as the annual report, thought leadership papers, marketing materials, presentations, training resources, and other stakeholder engagement materials. + Track task requirements, status, and deadlines to support consistent, timely delivery of work products and technical input across multiple clients and internal teams. Check us out at www.principalam.com! **Who You Are** + Bachelor’s degree (preferred degrees in Environmental Studies, Sustainable Design or Marketing) or equivalent work experience. + 3+ years of professional experience, ideally with 1+ years of experience in sustainability, environmental science, property management, leasing, marketing, business, or related real estate field. + Creative, problem-solving mentality with strong critical thinking, analytical and research skills. + Excellent interpersonal communications (verbal and written) and teamwork skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to effectively review and generate reports, graphs, and presentations. + Strong project management skills + Purpose driven and strong work ethic with the ability to excel in a fast-paced, self-directed environment **Skills That Will Help You Stand Out** + Industry certifications and professional affiliations such as LEED AP/Green Associate, Fitwel Ambassador, CEM, or CPM. + ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager® experience. + Experience with LEED, Fitwel, and other building performance certifications. + Data review, analytics, visualization, and reporting using Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, or other data analytics and visualization platforms. + Experience with industry reporting initiatives, particularly GRESB and PRI, strongly preferred. + Awareness of global ESG regulatory developments. **Salary Range Information** Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. **Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)** $71250 - $95950 / year **Time Off Program** Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness.
