Job Summary

The Department of Natural Sciences in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters is seeking a LEO Intermittent Lecturer in the Earth and Environment Discipline to teach ESCI 440, Advanced GIS in the Winter 2026 semester which begins on January 7, 2026, and ends on April 30, 2025. Contractual full-time rate per term is $25,500; term salary is prorated to the number of sections taught and course effort percentage. Based on performance and enrollment, Lecturer may be re-appointed for the Winter 2027 term. The expected effort of this appointment is 33.33%.

Required Qualifications*

Prospective candidates should minimally possess a graduate degree in a relevant discipline, such as: GIS, Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or Biology. Relevant work and teaching experience in the GIS field is desirable. Strong communication skills are needed. Previous teaching experience and professional experience in the environmental field is preferred.
