While this position must be located within a commutable distance to a CGI office, a hybrid working model is acceptable. The preferred locations are Sacramento, CA; Knoxville, TN; or Reno, NV respectively. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the system through effective test planning, coordination, and execution. Leading a small team of testers, the Test Lead collaborates closely with cross-functional Agile teams, business stakeholders, and technical leads to define test strategies, manage test cases, and oversee both manual and automated testing efforts. They are responsible for aligning testing activities with iterative development cycles, ensuring timely defect identification and resolution, and maintaining traceability to business requirements. With over 46 years of expertise in the public sector, this secure, intuitive platform is continually evolving, supported by a vibrant client community and CGI’s global network of industry-leading professionals. **Your future duties and responsibilities:** **How you'll make an impact** • Design and maintain comprehensive test cases and test data aligned with business requirements and Agile iterations, leveraging appropriate testing tools • Review and approve test cases and defect reports submitted by team members to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to quality standards • Monitor and report on the progress of testing activities, ensuring timely execution and clear communication of risks, issues, and status to stakeholders • Mentor and support team members in testing best practices, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement within the team • Facilitate and participate in defect triage meetings, collaborating with project teams and client stakeholders to prioritize and resolve issues efficiently • Provide guidance and hands-on support to client teams during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring alignment with business goals and successful validation • Identify deviations from testing standards or project expectations and recommend corrective actions to maintain compliance and quality **Required qualifications to be successful in this role:** **What you'll bring** • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, including test strategy development, planning, execution, and team leadership within complex IT projects • Deep understanding of the full SDLC, ERP systems, Agile and hybrid methodologies, and hands-on experience implementing testing frameworks in enterprise environments • Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide, mentor, and support a team of testers while independently managing priorities and deliverables • Strong analytical skills to interpret business and technical requirements, develop comprehensive test strategies and estimates, and ensure traceability throughout the testing lifecycle • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple testing workstreams, meet tight deadlines, and maintain high quality standards in a dynamic project setting • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a structured approach to identifying, analyzing, and resolving testing issues • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams • Experience leading defect triage and resolution efforts, with the ability to escalate issues appropriately and drive timely resolution., deadline-driven environment with occasional long hours and weekend work Desired qualifications/non-essential skills: • Experience working on geographically spread teams and interacting with developers, team leads, and product owners on a daily basis • Thrive in a team environment • Customer-oriented • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications, ERP systems, Database tools, web services testing tools such as SoapUI or Postman, and test management tools such as “IBM ELM” and Jira Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's degree Other Information: CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $111,600.00 - $195,200.00.
