About the role:Manage a team of RVTs and Veterinary AssistantsOversee the day-to-day operations of the ER/CCU department, ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality careCollaborate with other department managers to optimize patient outcomes and client satisfactionImplement and maintain protocols and procedures to uphold clinical standards and compliance with regulatory requirementsProvide support and guidance to team members, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional developmentDemonstrate solid veterinary clinical skills and be a role model for the teamFacilitate direct or indirect training for department staffProvide routine assessment of skill level and knowledgeComplete monthly schedule and ensure adequate coverageManage department payroll and staffing costs, including review and approval of timecardsDeliver results in areas of staff development, best practices (SOPs), training, client satisfaction, and safety

Basic required qualifications:3+ years of clinical experience in an ER/CCU settingProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointExcellent positive and productive communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Desired qualifications:Current RVT license – preferredPrevious team leadership experience preferred
