Your Impact as a Equity Investment Professional

As part of the Investment Finance Team in the Americas, you will join a dynamic group of investment professionals supporting strategic decision-making and portfolio growth. You will work closely with investment and structuring teams in agile deal structures, contributing to high-impact equity investments. This position is located in New York City in a hybrid work environment, requiring 2-3 days onsite.


Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development of complex financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, including DCF, market multiples and scenario analyses. Independently assess growth-stage and mature companies, determining valuations using market comps, precedent transactions, and intrinsic valuation techniques. Provide strategic input on deal structuring, capital allocation, and return optimization. Oversee financial due diligence processes for new investments and divestitures, coordinating with external advisors and internal stakeholders. Review and refine financial models submitted by target companies or advisors, ensuring accuracy and alignment with investment thesis. Evaluate transaction structures for financial, accounting, tax, and legal implications under IFRS and US GAAP. Manage finance topics for portfolio companies, including KPI tracking, equity pick-up analysis, and liquidity forecasting. Partner with portfolio company leadership to identify operational improvements, cost efficiencies, and growth initiatives. Monitor and report on portfolio performance, highlighting risks and opportunities to senior leadership. Present investment recommendations, financial insights, and risk assessments to segment leadership. Translate complex financial data into actionable strategies for cross-functional teams, including legal, tax, and operations. Mentor junior analysts, providing guidance on modeling, valuation, and industry research. Conduct in-depth market and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, disruptive technologies, and strategic opportunities. Maintain a strong understanding of macroeconomic factors, regulatory developments, and sector-specific dynamics impacting investments. Analyze and report on key financial metrics such as IRR, ROE, EVA, and free cash flow to assess investment performance. Develop dashboards and reporting tools to enhance transparency and decision-making across the investment lifecycle

What You Bring:

Minimum of  8 years’ experience in investment finance, corporate finance, or transaction advisory, preferably within big4 accounting firm, private equity or investment banking. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced credentials such as CPA, CFA, or MBA strongly preferred. Deep understanding of US GAAP and IFRS, with a focus on equity accounting, consolidation, and transaction-related accounting treatments. Expertise in valuation methodologies, including discounted cash flow (DCF), market multiples, and precedent transactions. Proven track record in fast-paced, deal-driven environments, with experience managing multiple transactions and tight deadlines. Advanced proficiency in Excel, including dynamic financial modeling, scenario analysis, and sensitivity testing; familiarity with tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus. Strong ability to interface cross-functionally with accounting, tax, legal, and reporting teams to ensure alignment on deal execution and portfolio management. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into strategic insights for senior stakeholders. Willingness to travel up to 10%, primarily for due diligence, portfolio company visits, and transaction support.

The pay range for this position is $107,570 - $184,440 annually with a target incentive of 20% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
