Summary You will serve as an EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST in the Assembly Section of the Manufacturing Operations Branch (BL41800), Prototype, Manufacturing & Support Equipment & Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment Test Dept of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE. Responsibilities You will serve as lead assembly technician for Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) and Support Equipment (SE) products. You will conduct high-pressure static hydraulic testing on launcher subsystems. You will provide labor hours and material requirement estimates for ALRE, repair, maintenance, overhaul and installation You will train and mentor lower-level artisans to operate safely while meeting shop capacity. You will maintain a current knowledge of procedures, policies, instructions, notices, technical directives, drawings, and test directives to answer questions of other workers Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: 1) Serving as the Low Loss Launch Valve (LLLV) subject matter specialist; 2) Working with ALRE and SE engineers in developing improved sustainable ALRE and SE systems for fleet use; 3) Leading work teams in the safe operations and practices of assembling LLLVs and other launcher mechanical systems; 4) Implementing shop/process improvements efforts enabling greater process efficiencies. 5.) Preparing technical documentation, data, and serves on engineering integrated product teams engaged in the design, prototyping and manufacture of new or replacement parts.
