The EPCs are part of the Caterpillar product distribution strategy in the EAME region, delivering thousands of products to our dealers yearly by:
+ Reducing lead time to customers through product late differentiation and strategic stock,
+ Performing value add activities for the Dealer network,
+ Acting as a resilience node and quality gate.
**Responsibilities**
• Designing and optimizing logistics plans and targeted processes to meet supply chain demands and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Managing a team and collaborate with multiple third-party logistics providers to:
+ Evaluate and implement logistics programs and activities in line with the EPC strategy.
+ Meet performance objectives from a quality (Defect per Unit rate) and production execution perspective.
• Developing mechanisms and metrics to monitor and forecast costs, savings and performance for EPC operations.
• This role is providing direct supervision to 6 FTE and indirect supervision to 8 FTE for a total of 14 FTE located in the Zeebrugge.
**Qualifications**
Master degree or relevant experience (12+ years) in Supply Chain management, Operations Management or Transportation operations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated success in managing and developing a high performing team.
Previous experience in product quality management is a plus.

• Oversee and streamline all aspects of daily operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

• Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

People management:
• Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of operational staff.

• Manage team workloads and resolve personnel issues with empathy and professionalism.

Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
• Ensures capture of lessons to be learned from a problem-solving effort.
• Organizes potential problem solvers and leads problem resolution efforts.
• Uses varying problem-solving approaches and techniques as appropriate.
• Contributes to standard practices for problem-solving approaches, tools, and processes.
• Analyzes and synthesizes information and devises alternative resolution strategies.

Relationship Management:
Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
• Communicates to clients regarding expectations of all parties.

• Conducts periodic reviews of work effort, progress, issues, and successes.
• Maintains productive, long-term relationships with clients or vendors.

Supply Chain Management:
Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and implement strategies, practices and tools for controlling the whole processes.
• Recognizes software systems or components used to manage supply chain.
• Participates in supply chain analysis and uses it to spot trends and improvement opportunities.
• Discusses considerations for integrating partner and supplier transactions.
• Summarizes supply chain considerations for different types of products.
• Works with a specific part of supply chain management process.
