A vacancy for an
Equipment Engineer (d/m/f) for Eurofighter Sensor systemshas arisen within the Electronic Warfare and Weapon Systems Center of Competence of Airbus Defence and Space in Manching.
Our team is responsible to develop sensor equipment solutions for the Eurofighter, e.g. E-Scan Radar as well as Electronic Warfare products, within national as well as multi-national projects supporting the overall product life cycle: starting with technology and research projects, feasibility studies and system definition phases, development, integration and qualification tasks and finally to support the introduction to customer fleet.
We are looking for a highly motivated engineer to strengthen our team to support the upgrade of the Eurofighter’s Defensive Aids system.

Analyse Eurofighter Avionics as well as Equipment requirements and design to derive requirements relevant for software and airborne electronic hardware development (procedural & functional) in cooperation with the Equipment supplierSupport the Requirements-Based Engineering of the Equipment supplier and validate the derived software and airborne electronic hardware requirements as well as the related designGive guidance and harmonize development and qualification planning between Airbus Engineering and Equipment supplierSupport qualification and verification activities at supplier’s premisesValidate supplier’s software and airborne electronic hardware documentation; contribute to development milestone reviewsSupport technical workshops with stakeholders from Airbus, suppliers and partner companiesDesired skills and qualification:
Bachelor/Master in Software Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or Electrical EngineeringKnowledge about Requirements-Based engineering as well as software and/or airborne electronic hardware development processesKnowledge about Electronic Warfare functionality and technologyKnowledge about qualification/certification requirements for airborne systems (e.g. DO-254, DO-178)Knowledge about Eurofighter Weapon System Avionics is an advantageKnowledge and experiences about how to develop and integrate Equipment as part of a complex Weapon System is an advantageExperience in software and/or airborne electronic hardware developmentExperiences in managing an Equipment supplier within aviation industryFluent German and EnglishGood communication skillsEager to work in international projects and as part of an interdisciplinary teamNot a 100% match?
