Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Maintain current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues. Study equipment performance and reliability. Establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process. Provide technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations. Define and write preventative maintenance schedules. Manage daily business to meet production and quality requirements. Collaborate with Applications and Operations team to prioritize tasks on hand. Responsible for providing quality repair, preventive maintenance service and complete installation and relocation start-up service of complex semiconductor equipment. Troubleshoot equipment problems and conduct diagnostic procedures to isolate problems and take steps to minimize downtime or system interruptions and eliminate equipment malfunctions. Monitor required programs and verify workstation notes and data are logged (i.e. MPD, SPC, ETI, FDC, ECN’s). Review and document Long Term Down tool issues to ensure root cause is found and follow-up is documented and communicated to the group and across sister sites. Understand difficult situations before making critical strategic decisions. Use available resources and systems (such as KT) in the decision-making process. Work with Vendors to determine/plan and complete CIP items for tool/product/through-put improvement. Establish and implement prevention measures for reoccurring Tool Log Down. Upon completion of a difficult or out of the ordinary task, ensures that proper communication on related lessons learned is complete. Visible in key problem resolution efforts and provides guidance to resolve equipment issues effectively and timely. Review and update maintenance procedures to ensure equipment is maintained with quality, efficiency and in a cost-effective manner. Develop, implement and update reaction mechanism procedures with BKM’s. Quality work, 6S your area, and Systematic troubleshooting using TPM tools. Parts management and cost reduction (identify projects that are cost effective, minimize regular expenditures, and help promote a cost-conscious culture). Follow all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Be an active participant in the Environmental, Health, Safety and Security (EHSS) program by reporting all EHSS-related concerns or problems immediately to the appropriate individual (ERT, Supervision, etc.).
Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field. Position requires education or experience in:
1.Working in a physics or metrology laboratory;
2.Thin film deposition and characterization using tools, including Atomic Force Microscopes (AFMs), X-ray equipment, Photolithography, high vacuum systems, High-temperature furnaces,
and Optical microscopes;
3.Writing scientific reports on laboratory experiments, including statistical and numerical analysis;
4.Theoretical knowledge on maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of semiconductor equipment;
5.Working in cleanroom environment and laboratory tools;
6. Working on project and mentoring lab members.
