**Job Summary**
Responsible for maintaining an operational database of plant components, obtaining component information by reviewing source documents and name plate data, and to verify component information to provide specialized reports for internal use and external distribution.
**Job Description**
**What You'll Do:**
+ Interpret plant drawings to obtain component information to determine system, function, location; create component numbers; create functional names; and determine isolation points to provide for personnel and equipment safety.
+ Monitor and evaluate all revisions to plant drawings, procedures, vendor documents, and design changes in order to update the Equipment Database.
+ Analyze and correct discrepancies between source documents and the installed components.
+ Assist in the coordination of component identification projects.
+ Support and participate in the Corrective Action programs.
+ Equipment Database Steward.
+ Process Engineering Design Packages and Field Change Requests in Maximo.
+ Perform Engineering Mod Package Stakeholder Reviews and provide feedback.
+ Maintain the Drawing Track Database.
+ Submit drawings to the Nuclear Document Management.
+ Update SKED schedule tracking tool.
+ Perform Engineering Change turnovers to the plant.
+ Create Engineering Changes to update the Equipment Database.
**What We're Looking For:**
**Equipment Database Inspector:**
Education:
+ HS Diploma or GED.
Work Experience:
+ Four years of relevant Nuclear Power Plant experience.
+ Must be able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams.
**Equipment Database Inspector, Senior:**
Education:
+ HS Diploma or GED.
Work Experience:
+ Minimum five years of relevant nuclear power plant experience.
+ Must be able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams.
+ Ability to effectively use computer programs required to maintain component data base.
Other Requirements:
+ Physical demand level is Sedentary Perform duties that may involve work in hazardous areas and possible radiation exposure within the limits prescribed by the NRC.
**Must establish and maintain a permanent residence within a 45-minute safe drive to the D.C. Cook Nuclear Plant.**
