About the Opportunity Energy Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Nuclear Power station. Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively. As the EPR Programme Commercial Director sitting within Amentum’s Energy (Programmes) business, you will hold a key senior leadership role. You will be the Commercial functional lead for the EPR Programme’s Commercial Team. You will report directly into the EPR Programme Director and will be responsible for leading the EPR Programme commercial strategy and commercial operations. This will include identifying growth opportunities, managing key internal and external stakeholders and relationships, overseeing revenue-generating activities, ensuring financial targets are met, and ensuring commercial compliance. It is important to note that this role is both strategic and operational and will include elements of Client work. Key Responsibilities include: **Strategic Leadership** + Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with Amentum Energy’s and EPR Programme goals. + Identify and evaluate new EPR Programme and wider related business opportunities, markets, and partnerships. + Lead on pricing, contract negotiations, and commercial risk management. **Business Development** + Drive revenue growth through new and existing channels. + Have oversight on bids, tenders, and proposals for new business. + Build and maintain relationships with EPR Programme clients (HPC & SZC) and stakeholders. **Operational Oversight** + Manage commercial operations including sales, marketing, and customer experience. + Monitor KPIs, Incentivisation mechanisms and financial performance, adjusting strategies as needed. + Act as functional reviewer for EPR Programme deliverables. + Provide Subject Matter Expert input on Client Deliverables. + Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. **Team Leadership** + Lead and develop EPR Programme Commercial teams, fostering a high-performance culture. + Set clear objectives and provide coaching and performance feedback. + Collaborate with other functions, departments and project teams to ensure alignment and delivery. **People/ Behaviours** + Have an absolute commitment to safety, health and wellbeing and show demonstrable leadership in the Amentum Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) program – SafeUp + Inspirational leadership to drive and embed Amentum company values and behaviours including the highest levels of integrity. + Drive Vision and Purpose by painting a compelling picture of Amentum vision and strategy that motivates others to action. + Build diverse, effective, strong-identity teams that apply their skills and perspectives to achieve common goals + People leadership - leading, motivating, guiding, directing and evaluating the work of other employees, ensuring a culture of high challenge and high support, and the environment to allow staff to develop, to perform at their best and to achieve high performance + Leads on sustainability; driving community engagement All measured by a range of People KPIs, staff survey results and capability reviews and ultimately delivery targets. **Here's What You'll Need** + Member of the RICS / CIPS or equivalent professional body. + Educated to degree level. + Effective commercial / contract management and negotiation skills, with clear knowledge of best practice contract methodologies. + Strong leadership, collaborative and team working skills. + Able to demonstrate a considerable track record of successful contract negotiations and .and effective contract administration. + Highly developed commercial skills and demonstrable ability to make sound decisions on matters of significant financial value. + Excellent understanding of contract performance measurement, risk management and change and claim management. + Track record with most common Forms of Contract (NEC & FIDIC) within the power construction industry and major projects and programme environment; with particular knowledge of UK Law and its impact upon the contract and commercial function. + Good understanding of the UK legal and regulatory framework. + Experienced at operating in director roles/ at senior levels; comfortable in managing internal and external stakeholders effectively at a exec / senior level. + Commercial management and oversight on major nuclear programmes (£100m-£30Bn).
