Position Summary:

Tidelands Health is seeking a dynamic Epic Trainer. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering Epic training courses, with a strong focus on driving user adoption in clinical settings. Epic certification is highly desirable. This role requires a deep understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to develop and deliver training using multiple methods, including in-person, virtual, and e-learning platforms. The trainer will collaborate with clinical teams to ensure the effective adoption and utilization of Epic systems within these specialized service lines.

Essential Functions:

Design and deliver Epic training to clinical and administrative staff, including comprehensive training curricula, that is tailored to the specific needs of the Service LineImplement multi-modal training delivery methods, including classroom sessions, virtual instruction, self-paced learning modules, and hands-on simulationsFacilitate engaging and interactive training sessions that enhance the learners’ understanding of Epic workflows and functionalityCollaborate with healthcare teams to assess and adjust training materials according to user needs and clinical workflows, ensuring that the content is relevant and addresses real-world scenariosProvide ongoing support for post-training, including answering questions, offering refresher courses, and troubleshooting issues with the Epic systemTrack and evaluate learner progress, adoption rates, and competency in using the Epic systemStay updated on Epic upgrades, enhancements, and best practices to incorporate these changes into training materials to ensure users are always utilizing the most current functionalityServe as a subject matter expert for the service line/Epic focus area, providing guidance and recommendations to increase efficiency and effectiveness

Education:  

Bachelor’s degree requiredMaster’s degree preferred

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience designing and delivering software training curriculum for healthcare systems requiredProven experience in developing training curricula and instructional materials tailored to healthcare operations required7 or more years of experience designing and delivering software training curriculum for healthcare systems is preferred5 or more years of training Epic workflows preferredExperience in change management and user adoption strategies preferred

License/Certification:

Certified in the designated service line modules; must complete certification within 3 months of hire – if need multiple certifications, then must complete each within 3 months (ex: if need 2, then complete back to back within 6 months total).Specialty Area: Women/Children Services, Pharmacy, and Order ManagementEPIC Modules: Stork, Willow, and OrdersSpecialty Area: Radiology, Cardiology, and Surgical ServicesEPIC Modules: Radiant, Cupid, or Optime/Anesthesia Specialty Area: Provider Efficiency, Workflows, and ReportingEPIC Modules: Provider Adoption, Reporting, and MyChartSpecialty Area: Acute Care OperationsEPIC Modules: Acute Care Operations

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Strong understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to apply them in diverse training environments.Ability to analyze feedback and make improvements to training programs.

Knowledge of clinical workflows
