**Position Description**
The **Epic Application Specialist** will use their clinical, computer science and/or technical skills to support the hospital's main Health Information System (HIS), Epic. The Specialist will work closely with clinical and other stakeholders to gather and analyze information and specifications regarding clinical practices/workflows and business processes; configure the system based on decisions; test the system at various stages throughout the implementation; develop and document policies and procedures that will support use of the system; and act as a liaison between end users, Epic and third-party vendors to ensure clear communication and alignment.
**Here's What You'll Get To Do**
+ Attend site visits, validation sessions, and other integrated sessions to analyze operational needs for configuring Epic systems and informing workflow decisions.
+ Perform in-depth analysis of workflows, define requirements, analyze, build, test, document and implement small to large initiatives
+ Analyze user requests, define and document requirements
+ Continuously evaluate new features and releases to enhance system functionality and user experience.
+ Testing: including writing and execution of test scripts for assigned components; ensuring the system configuration meets the clinical requirements and workflows
+ Plan, track, monitor, document and report on tasks or projects
+ Lead/manage small/mid-sized projects/sub-projects
+ Present analysis and recommendations to governance committees and participate in roadmap planning in partnership with various stakeholders
+ Develop implementation plan including Change Management plan
+ Serve as liaison between the clinical and non-clinical stakeholders and application vendor(s)
+ Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues affecting end-users, workflows, and related application areas.
**Here's What You'll Need**
+ Post-secondary degree or diploma in in IT or in a health-related field, plus a min. of 3 years relevant healthcare and systems implementation experience
+ Must be **Epic certified.**
+ Proven solid experience developing and executing clinical/ technical implementation plan
+ Experience with a Project Management tools and knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices
+ Proficient with requirements gathering, analysis, workflow design and documentation
+ Experience with Microsoft Office applications (MS Outlook, Teams, Excel and PowerPoint) and workflow mapping tool(s)
+ Excellent communications & organizational skills to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
+ Ability to lead meetings, resolve conflicts, maintain issues and enhancements lists, and manage a project utilizing sound critical thinking & decision-making skills
+ Ability to probe for information about the underlying needs of the organization and user community, which directly influences how the system will be built
+ Ability to adapt to a continually changing work environment and manage multiple priorities, while working independently to meet deadlines
+ Understands the importance of and demonstrates a commitment to fostering a culture of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

+ Master's degree in Health Informatics
+ ServiceNow experience
**Employment Type:** Full-time, 1 year CONTRACT with Benefits. On-site required.
