EO Operations Supervisor

Position Summary

This is a key role, to supervise a team of Operators within the Tullamore 1 and Tullamore 3 EO site, this includes day-to-day oversight of departmental goals for Safety, Quality, Customer demands and Operational Effectiveness. The position will supervise, train and develop team members to ensure work instructions are followed and maintained up to date in line with global, local and Customer requirements in conjunction with Operations Management at the facility.  Responsible for frontline site safety and maximising plant uptime to ensure Customer Satisfaction, cash flow and site targets are achieved. Ensuring strict adherence to site Quality and Compliance standards. To lead and develop the site teams on a day to day basis by way of conducting a daily process review meeting and daily shift handover.

Duties

Safety

Daily inspection of site physical conditions and observation of staff to ensure safe practices are being adhered to. Ensure strict adherence to site security standards Ensure all PPE is standards are maintained and available to team members Be an active member in all plant risk assessments. Drive and monitor 5’s standards throughout the site. Ensure 5s audits are completed in line with due dates and escalated where required. Ensure unsafe acts/conditions and Safety observations are logged to the appropriate system. Ensure safety investigations are executed as required.

Quality

Ensure process deviations are reported, product quarantined. clearly identified and investigated in a timely manner Ensure Batch records (run files) are competed in full as per Work Instructions and adhering to GMP requirements before transfer to the Quality team for release, ensuring deviations for items are highlighted to the Quality department Ensure site Quality standards are maintained and continually improved. Ensure Process Controls are executed as per Work Instruction

Cost

Ensure all plant downtime and non adherence to the schedule is reviewed and monitored with suggestions for improvements highlighted. Escalate any operational related downtime/non adherence to the schedule. Manage consumable stock process including replenishment to ensure monthly stock takes are conducted and stock levels maintained. Duties - contd

Delivery

Ensure processing of products is in line with Customers expectations and meets all processing Parameters outlined in the Customer Specific Procedures (CSP) Ensure all product is clearly segregated and storage requirements are maintained.

 

KPIs

To oversee SQDC counter measures ensuring target dates are reported To monitor and communicate schedule adherence Oversee continuous improvement initiatives/activities within the department Oversee & drive 5S audit action program Participate in site process mapping and gemba walks Duties - cont'd

People

Motivate and develop a team that can cover all required tasks, ensuring standards are maintained and overtime kept to a minimum, where possible – Create Individual employee development plans, provide coaching, and training, Performance Management- annual goal setting & reviews (GPS), Supervise disciplinary action, Labour forecasting, planning, interview/selection, temporary staffing, & Overtime Help create and maintain a proactive culture where team members are empowered to deliver the company values of ACHIEVEMENT, INNOVATION, INTEGRITY and ACCOUNTABILITY. To ensure performance related reviews are formalised and escalated where appropriate. To schedule, record and appraise each team member at least once per year, setting localised objectives to assist in both succession planning and continuous improvement. To ensure all break times are monitored and are adhered to. Supervise the day to day people plan, monitoring holidays and sickness in line with local performance targets, ensuring adequate processing cover always. Education Degree Vocational/TechnicalRequired Experience Experience in similar operational role in a operationally based business (production unit or plant). Strong experience in leading teams within a manufacturing environment. Ability to train, develop and mentor employees. Performance improvement experience and operational KPIs Technical aptitude and knowledge of continuous process improvement techniques in a continuous improvement environment. Qualification in a technical / supervisory discipline an advantage. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills  with energy and charisma. Proficient with MS Office suite.
