Job Title: Environmental Technical Manager
Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Environmental Technical Manager to lead our environmental team. This role involves overseeing the technical review and sign-off of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and Preliminary Assessments, while managing and mentoring a team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in environmental site assessments, strong leadership capabilities, and a hands-on approach to project execution.

ResponsibilitiesTechnical review and sign-off on Phase I ESAs and Preliminary Assessments.Coordinate with junior staff throughout the Phase I ESA process.Communicate with clients regarding preliminary, draft, and final findings.Manage tasks related to research, field activities, and report preparation.Mentor junior staff.Develop conclusions and recommendations for further action.Assist in proposal development for further investigation.Interpret information and analytical data.Review and revise reports prepared by junior staff.Prepare technical reports for clients and regulatory agencies.Ensure work is completed within budget and client timelines.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in geology, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.5+ years performing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.10+ years reviewing and signing off on Phase I ESAs.Experience with equity purchase and lender Phase I ESAs.Additional Skills & QualificationsProfessional Geologist (PG), Professional Engineer (PE)Project managementComplianceRemedial investigationPermittingWork Environment

Work is conducted in the office 90% of the time, with occasional travel to sites making up 10% of the role. The company, established in 1992, has grown into a nationwide full-service provider offering environmental and property condition assessments, remediation services, industrial hygiene services, and project management services. Our projects span across all 50 United States, as well as US territories, the Caribbean, Canada, Mexico, and Europe.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.67 - $60.10/hr.
