Position Title: Environmental Specialist

We have an immediate opening for an Environmental Specialist in our Carberry, Manitoba, facility. The successful candidate will ensure that McCain continues to meet environmental compliance with all applicable environmental permits and regulations.  In addition, the role will be responsible for driving environmental sustainability in the factory by meeting McCain corporate environmental initiatives in order to reduce our environmental footprint. Active participation in health & safety initiatives, taking a lead role in promoting and adherence to company safety work rules and drive towards zero incidents.Active participant in the efforts conforming to ISO 14001:2015 EMS- Environmental Management System. Key owner and point person for sustainability programs and projects for the plant.Maintain environmental communications to the plant, corporate engineering team and to regulatory bodies.Lead internal and external auditing activities.Prepare and submit government and internal reports as required by provincial and federal regulations.This role is considered developmental and willQualifications:

An undergraduate degree in Engineering or equivalent education. Relevant experience may also be considered.Preference for experience in ISO certification standard.Prior manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
