What will you be doing in this role?
The Environmental Services Floor Care Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the medical center and its outlying buildings in order to provide a clean, sanitary and attractive environment for patients, visitors and employees. The technician must work collaboratively with the Hospitality Center and Patient Care Center.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Determines accurate equipment and supplies that is needed in performing job dutiesStrip and wax, scrub and recoat floorsVacuum and shampoo carpetsBuffing and maintaining hard floorsKeeps equipment clean and in good conditionReports immediately to his/her assignment in accordance to the workflowRemove any equipment vital prior to the start of your taskDust mops the floor for any loose debris and remove any gum residueUse chemicals crafted for equipment to be usedUsing accurate chemical dilution ratios by following manufacturer’s specificationsEnsures no residue is left on the baseboard and kick plates or stainless-steel surfacesUses caution signs or caution tape appropriately when performing any project work that can result in a personal injuryRemoval of trash and mop floors as advisedReports the need for maintenance repairs to the Hospitality CenterReports equipment repairs by following department procedureCommunicates with customers in a positive and professional manner. Makes contact on a routine basis and works closely with Supervisor to improve customer servicePractices standard precaution and accurate infection control#Jobs
Qualifications
Work Experience:
One (1) year floor care experienceTwo (2) years cleaning experience in a hospital, school or hotel highly preferred.Shift:
