Job Overview:
Under the supervision of the Environmental Services Department, the Environmental Service Worker cleans and supplies patient rooms, nursing stations, ancillary areas, and other areas assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department and in accordance with the Medical Center objectives.

Night Shift, 11:00p.m. 7:00am Full-Time 40.00 hrs.Position requires every other weekend and holidays, depending on the department s needs.Essential Functions:
Arrange furniture for meetings, workshops and community affairs Assists in cleaning of emergency spills observed or upon requestCleans housekeeping closet and maintains par levelsCollects and transports all waste, including RMW, according to policyCompacts trash or places in containersDamp buffs and shampoo carpets with approved equipmentDry and wet mops floors of rooms and officesDust mops and wet mops, corridors, stairwells and other common areasEmpties waste receptacles and removes trashMaintains assigned equipment for cleanliness and has repairs made when neededObserves and reports the need to repair equipment, furniture, buildings and fixturesPerforms cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methodsPerforms patient discharge cleaning using 9-step cleaning procedureRefills paper towels, toilet paper, soap and toilet seat dispensersReturns promptly from errands, breaks, mealsScrubs and burnishes floors with approved equipmentTransport bulk trash from designated collection points to compactor areaUses and prepares solutions according to procedureVacuum carpetsAt RWJBarnabas Health, our market-competitive Total Rewards package provides comprehensive benefits and resources to support our employees physical, emotional, social, and financial health.
