Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: The Waste Permits Division (WPD) is responsible for a number of activities involving solid and hazardous waste permitting and waste tires. The Environmental Scientist Senior DCL-B for this position plays an integral role with the Division accomplishing its goals and objectives as it relates to waste permitting. Some duties include: + providing technical expertise to WPD team members in the processing of solid and hazardous waste permits and communicating with the regulated community, general public and other state and federal agencies as well as working with upper management. + taking the lead with complex / controversial applications, regulation development and recycling efforts among other duties.
