Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Engineer to join our team. The role involves both fieldwork and office responsibilities, including report writing and participation in various environmental projects across the five boroughs.
ResponsibilitiesConduct construction oversight and community air monitoring (CAMP).Perform soil and groundwater sampling.Prepare and write technical reports, including remedial action and closure plans, Phase I and Phase II site assessment reports.Engage in fieldwork as necessary.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science.5+ years of experience in construction oversight, community air monitoring (CAMP), soil sampling, and groundwater sampling.Proficient in environmental science, geology, and remediation.Strong report writing skills.Excellent communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsSST CardOSHA 40 HAZWOPER certificationWillingness to work in the field as neededPossession of OSHA 30, OSHA 10, and site safety certificationsWork Environment
The position offers a hybrid work schedule with 1-2 days of work from home depending on the schedule.
Fieldwork hours are from 6:45am to 3:30pm, while office hours are from 9am to 6pm.
The work environment fosters great relationships in the environmental field and provides opportunities for learning and development. If fieldwork is unavailable, employees will engage in office tasks or virtual meetings for skill enhancement and collaboration with project managers. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
