Our client is bidding for work on the Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project (Line-5): Southern Route, and they are seeking suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the role of Environmental Safeguards Specialist. The Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Investment Project (Line-5): Southern route (the Project) aims to alleviate traffic congestion and mitigate air pollution in Dhaka by constructing the mass rapid transit system, contributing to economic development, and improving the urban environment. The Project is a fast-track project, and it is expected to enhance east-west connectivity via the Central Business District (CBD), as there is no single continuous main road in the east-west direction.
Main Tasks & Duties:- Report to the TL- Review the EIA, EMP, and its sub-plans, EMoP, OHS plan, and other related topics/site-specific plans to ensure mitigation measures' applicability, sufficiency, and practicability. - Supervise all the activities of international and national Specialists of the Environmental Safeguards Section.- Make internal coordination of the Environmental Safeguard Section with the Design Section, Contract Section, Public Relations Section, Health and Safety Section, Traffic Management Section, and Construction Supervision team.- Make external coordination with relevant agencies through the Client.- Provide necessary information to the Client for any meeting/ seminar related to environmental safeguard areas
