**Job Description:**
Our regulatory professionals are ready to guide clients through the nuances of environmental health and safety compliance management. From development, review, and auditing to implementation and improvement, we tailor a comprehensive array of programs attuned to federal, state, and local regulations and their unique corporate standards.
Our projects include brownfield redevelopment, where we transform contaminated sites into usable properties. We assist with environmental compliance, management systems, and audits. Additionally, the team works on multi-media environmental consulting, permitting, stormwater erosion control, SWPPP, environmental health and safety, and sustainability.
We are seeking a **Staff I Scientist** working on a variety of challenging national environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance projects. This position will be **hybrid** in our **Richmond, VA** office. Assist with environmental and safety air emissions permitting and program development and ongoing EHS compliance needs for industrial, manufacturing, institutional, federal, and municipal clients.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Perform computations and process data using computer software or other established methods
+ Assist in preparing technical reports to document project findings, conclusions, and recommendations
+ Assist in preparing permitting maps and other illustrations for data interpretation and presentation to help our clients comply with environmental regulations and maximize their operations
+ Assist in evaluating alternative solutions to science-related problems
+ Collect and interpret data through research, file reviews, field observations and measurements, field testing and other methods
+ Support our industrial clients with air permitting and ISO 14000 compliance, ensuring they meet environmental regulations effectively
+ Develop and conduct environmental training tailored to client needs.
+ Work closely with experienced consultants to deliver customized environmental compliance strategies to a diverse range of industrial clients
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related science fields
+ 0-2 years of experience in environmental compliance and permitting (air, water, solid waste) in industrial settings is preferred, but not required
+ Understanding of regulatory language and writing
+ Strong communication skills - written and verbal
+ Ability to work with diverse teams on multiple projects simultaneously
+ Strong analytical skills and ability to problem-solve
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools to efficiently manage data, create reports, and communicate findings
**Salary Range**
$50,000 - $60,000
