Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to oversee and monitor all projects within the department, working closely with the Office Manager. This role involves leading business development activities, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring the quality and timely delivery of services.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and manage all ongoing projects within the department.Obtain field work proposals and cost estimates to ensure proper scoping of services, manpower availability, and pricing for profitability.Attend seminars and prioritize business development and marketing initiatives.Mentor junior staff by supporting their training, development, and performance reviews.Ensure the utilization of equipment and facilities, safety oversight, and quality of work products.Plan and drive business development activities to foster project opportunities and maintain client relationships.Essential SkillsProject managementEnvironmental engineeringEnvironmental complianceEnvironmental remediationBusiness managementEnvironmental sciencePhase I and II environmental site assessmentsEnvironmental monitoringAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology with 5 years of practical experience, or a minimum of 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.Business development experience from a consulting company.Minimum of 3 years managing field staff.Experience overseeing Phase I or II site assessments.Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification is desired but not required.Ability to travel to seminars and spill/contaminated sites.Work EnvironmentThis position is based in our Buffalo office with occasional travel to job sites across Upstate, NY. The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $62.50/hr.
