About the Role

Join a fully remote, mission-driven environmental consulting team committed to sustainability, regulatory compliance, and responsible development. We’re seeking an experienced Environmental Planning Supervisor to lead and mentor a growing team of professionals, drive excellence across CEQA-focused projects, and help shape a collaborative, inclusive culture.


Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and develop a remote team of environmental planners (currently 8, growing to 15)Oversee and package CEQA documents including Initial Studies, Mitigated Negative Declarations, and Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs)Participate in RFPs, proposals, scoping, and budgeting for environmental planning projectsCoordinate with agencies such as Caltrans, CPUC, and local planning departmentsSupport business development efforts and contribute to client diversificationConduct occasional site visits across Southern California (e.g., Porterville, Tulare, Imperial Valley, LA, High Desert, coastal regions)Lead weekly team meetings and executive check-insProvide QA/QC oversight, performance reviews, and mentorship across experience levels
QualificationsStrong experience with CEQA and EIR processesProven ability to lead teams through complex environmental planning projectsExcellent communication, emotional intelligence, and mentorship skillsExperience managing remote teams and fostering virtual engagementProject management experience in consulting environmentsLocated in Southern California or willing to travel regionally for site visits
Preferred QualificationsNEPA experienceFamiliarity with Initial Studies, Mitigated Negative Declarations, and Negative DeclarationsArcGIS proficiency (training available if needed)Experience with diverse agencies and both public/private sector clients

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
