Seeking a highly motivated CEQA/NEPA Planner to prepare State/Federal environmental documents and ensure compliance throughout Southern California. Assignments include writing portions of IS/MNDs, EIRs, EAs, EISs, and other environmental commitments. This role offers strong career growth potential.
Key Responsibilities:
•\tApply knowledge and experience with CEQA and NEPA.
•\tWrite portions of CEQA documents (IS/MND, EIR, EA, EIS).
•\tResearch compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
•\tCoordinate with public agencies to address CEQA/NEPA-related comments.
•\tConduct land use planning and demographic analysis.
•\tDevelop technical reports, special studies, mapping, and interpret model data.
•\tSupport Project Managers on multiple projects with tight schedules.
•\tDocument meetings, develop scopes, and monitor budgets and schedules.
•\tWork independently with minimal supervision.
•\tMaintain a proactive approach to quality and client satisfaction.
•\tParticipate in office and client meetings.
•\tDemonstrate strong organizational, communication, and writing skills.
•\tProficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Additional Skills & Qualifications
•\tBachelor’s degree in natural science, biology, botany, wildlife management, or equivalent.
•\tAt least 3 years of biology experience in environmental consulting or public planning in Southern California.
•\tPrior experience in environmental consulting or public agency.
•\tWillingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $46.00/hr.
