Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Environmental Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to play a key role within the SAPL Qiddiya Infrastructure Partner (QIDP). Responsible and accountable for ensuring that all work is in full coordination with Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC). QIC is providing strategic direction on a city-wide basis. Reports directly to the Project Director.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As an environmental manager, you'll ensure that the Cliff Stabilization project operates in line with KSA and QIC environmental guidelines and targets. This involves assessing activities to identify areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

Develop, implement and monitor environmental strategies to promote sustainable practices, including conducting audits and assessments, identifying and resolving environmental issues, and ensuring necessary changes are implemented.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and implement environmental strategies and action plans, to ensure corporate sustainable developmentTake the lead on sustainable procurement for all goods and servicesCoordinate all aspects of pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation and renewable energyLead the implementation of environmental policies and practicesEnsure compliance with environmental legislation and keep up to date with KSA environmental regulation and legislationLiaise with relevant bodies such as local authorities, public bodiesAudit, analyze and report environmental performance to client and regulatory bodiesCarry out impact assessments to identify, assess and reduce an organization’s environmental risks and financial costsPromote and raise awareness, at all levels of an organization, of the impact of emerging environmental issuesImplement best practice in areas of corporate, ethical and social responsibility and address any issues arisingDevelop and implement environmental management systems to continually improve the impact of project activities on the environmentManage relations with the wider QIC environmental teamTrain staff at all levels on environmental issues and responsibilitiesParticipating in environmental education and researchWrite environmental reports, assuming lead responsibility in the companySet organizational sustainability targets, develop plans to meet those targets and oversee their delivery.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering (or related field) and typically 10+ years of related work experience, familiarity with environmental standards and procedures. Professional Engineer registration may be required.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Potential to perform in an environmental manager capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations are required. Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology , environmental standards and be able to select and apply appropriate environmental engineering software for use on project.
