Kraemer North America is currently looking for an Environmental Manager to join our Mountain West Region. The Environmental Manager is responsible for overseeing environmental compliance on active construction projects. This role manages environmental field staff and supports project teams by ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations, permits, and project requirements. The Environmental Manager leads coordination with regulatory agencies and internal teams and ensures that erosion control, stormwater, dewatering, air quality, and other regulated environmental activities are implemented and documented in accordance with applicable standards.

Responsibilities
Assist with planning, coordination, and implementation of environmental work elements on active construction projects. Provide oversight and guidance to Environmental Field Engineers and Environmental Project Engineers. Review erosion and sediment control plans and support project teams with BMP selection and maintenance. Coordinate with project staff and subcontractors to ensure environmental compliance is maintained throughout project execution. Monitor compliance with project permits, including stormwater, dewatering, dust control, and other applicable environmental requirements. Conduct and document internal inspections and assist with resolving environmental field issues. Maintain awareness of current environmental regulations and assist project staff in understanding applicable requirements. Collaborate with the Regional Environmental Manager on regulatory inspections and responses. Support preparation and maintenance of environmental documentation, including SWMP Notebooks and inspection logs. Communicate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and agency representatives. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or combination of applicable education and experience. Minimum five (5) years of environmental compliance experience in the construction industry. Minimum two (2) years of experience with environmental field coordination or supervision. CDOT Transportation Erosion Control Supervisor (TECS) certification or ability to obtain. Valid driver’s license. Working knowledge of stormwater management, erosion control, and dewatering practices. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with project teams, subcontractors, and agency personnel. Proficient in Microsoft Office and environmental documentation tools.Benefits
