Here you will be part of the Environmental Service Assistance Team helping EPA achieve their mission to protect human health and the environment.

In this role, you will:
Manage daily laboratory and field operationsSupervise scientists using EPA methodsEnsure quality control and technical integrityDevelop and evaluate staff training programsMaintain customer relations and financial accountabilityMonitor workflow, inventory, and performance metricsDeliver technical and financial reportsQualifications
To be successful in this roll, you will have:
BS/BA in Chemistry or related field from an accredited university10+ years in environmental labs or EPA methods (advanced degrees may offset experience)5+ years managing teams of 10+ in analytical settings related to the job description listed aboveP&L experience and strong data analysis skillsProficient in Microsoft Office 365Must be a US CitizenValid driver’s license and ability to obtain EPA Public Trust CertificateExceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skillsDetail-oriented with a commitment to qualityAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to work on-site at the Edison, NJ, Laboratory Monday through Friday. This position does not offer any Hybrids work schedules at this time.
Additional desired experience and skills:
10 years of experience as an environmental chemist.Experience managing federal contractsEnvironmental training (e.g. 40 or 24 Hour HAZWOPER certification)Serco Inc. is using this posting for the purpose of responding to a proposal. In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $95,604.60 to $191,209.20; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
