Job Description

Environmental Health & Safety Specialist – Plymouth, MN:

Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety programs to foster a safe, sustainable, and compliant workplace.

Your role:

You’ll support the development and implementation of robust EHS programs that align with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company sustainability goals.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to conduct inspections, audits, and assessments that identify and reduce risk throughout the organization.

Help embed operational safety controls and environmental initiatives at every level of the business to ensure long-term impact.

Support the documentation and compliance efforts related to ISO 14001 (environmental management) and ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety).

Be instrumental in training employees on safe work practices, emergency procedures, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

This role offers the opportunity to influence key sustainability metrics including waste reduction, carbon emissions, and energy use, while gaining experience in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

You're the right fit if:

You’ve acquired 2+ years of experience in environmental safety, occupational health, or safety management, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Your skills include knowledge of OSHA regulations, ISO 14001/45001 standards, and federal/state environmental and safety requirements.

You have a bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Health & Safety, Sustainability, or a related field.

You’re an analytical, proactive professional with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Bonus if you have experience in sustainability reporting or performance tracking related to carbon emissions, energy, or waste.

You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This is an onsite role.

Philips Transparency Details  

The pay range for this position in Plymouth, MN is $68,000 to $82,000. 

  

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.     

  

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.  Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.  Details about our benefits can be found here.   

  

At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position.  For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Plymouth, MN.
