Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

ResponsibilitiesConduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies.Coordinate and deliver EHS training for employees.Maintain records of safety inspections, training, and compliance activities.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and sustainability.Manage environmental reporting.Monitor and report on key EHS metrics and performance indicators.Collect environmental samples for analysis.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.2+ years of experience in EHS or related role.Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsCertification such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS management software.Work Environment

This position is for a Federal project located in southwest Nebraska. Per diem will be provided.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
