Currently seeking entry level and experienced Soils Engineering Technician! As a soils technician you will be working side by side with professionals in a wide variety of fields in the construction industry. The civil and geotechnical engineering field encompasses many aspects; this position is an integral part of the building process. We are looking for dynamic individuals who are interested in starting and/or furthering their career in engineering field. Individuals should have strong initiative, be able to perform routine to complex inspections and testing procedures in the field and laboratory for verification of conformance to plans and specifications.
Responsibilities:Perform testing and observations on commercial construction projectsPrepare daily reports on observed activities, providing clear documentation of findingsPerform soil sampling, borehole logging, and site observationsWork with project personnel and clients to ensure that specifications are followedWill be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignmentsFollow safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projectsMaintain assigned equipmentRequired skills:Above average attention to detailMinimum of Associates degree in related field is preferredUnderstanding of constructionAbove average written and verbal communication skillsAbility to lift 50 lbsPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
