Environmental Engineer/Specialist

Description:• Lead and/or support a variety of environmental programs related to RCRA, CAA, CWA, EPCRA, and other government programs at the local, state, and federal level.

• Support the ISO 14001 program.

• Assist with environmental reporting and Go Green implementation.
Basic Qualifications:
• Conduct environmental, safety, aircraft, and explosives audits and inspections, and act as the liaison with governmental agencies.

• Assist with the handling and disposal of hazardous materials and support the site explosive program.

• Ability to project and program manage multiple simultaneous initiatives and efforts.
Desired Skills:
• At least 5 years’ experience in an environmental position in a manufacturing environment.

• Aviation Explosives Handling experience.

• Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Stormwater permitting (NPDES, MS4), Air Permitting (NSPS, NESHAP, TCEQ), Waste Management, SPCC, DOT Compliance (Dangerous Goods), and Emergency Management/Preparedness.

• Ability to make difficult decisions, solve complex issues and influence ESH cultural improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
