Environmental Engineer
 Johnson Service Group, an award-winning staffing company, is seeking an Environmental Engineer with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering (or related field) and 1–3 years of experience in an environmental role (mining industry experience preferred).

Salary: $90K


Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including those related to mining. Collect, analyze, and report environmental monitoring data; prepare graphs, charts, and statistical models. Administer water quality and monitoring programs, including field sampling, QA/QC, and reporting. Prepare and update technical documents (SPCC, SWPPP, BMP, Reclamation, SOPs, QA/QC Plans). Manage environmental databases (EDMS, Access, Excel) and support NPDES monitoring systems. Coordinate with internal departments, regulatory agencies, and contractors; manage environmental projects. Support waste minimization, spill prevention, reclamation bonding, and incident reporting programs. Lead and participate in audits, inspections, and regulatory investigations to ensure compliance. Promote safety and environmental values across mine and mill operations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field. 1–3 years of environmental field experience (mining preferred). Knowledge of MSHA, NRC, IDEQ, IDWR, EPA, and relevant regulations (RCRA, CERCLA, TSCA, EPCRA). Strong communication, data analysis, and project management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
