Our plant manufactures the high strength engineered wood product Timberstrand® in a 24/7 operations, non-union, manufacturing environment. Functions:

Reporting to the Safety, Environment and Energy Manager, the Environmental Coordinator ensures compliance with environmental regulations and due diligence requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Support the continuous improvement of Chemical Management to ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals in compliance with provincial and federal legislation.Support Waste Management programs, including the reduction, recycling, and disposal of waste materials, ensuring adherence to environmental regulations.Monitor Storm Water and Air Emission Management practices to minimize environmental impact and ensure compliance with relevant laws.Ensure the organization is in compliance with all provincial and federal legislation related to environmental management.Prepare and submit regular reports to provincial and federal government agencies as required.Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address potential environmental hazards.Maintain and continuously improve the existing Environmental Management System to ensure it meets regulatory requirements and industry best practices.Support the development and implementation of environmental plans, procedures, and policies.Interact with consultants, Ministry officials, and corporate environmental leadership as requiredAudit compliance with environmental standards.Ensure timely notification and reporting of environmental concerns.Maintain documentation and record retention.

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $69,700 - $98,300 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.
