**DESCRIPTION**
We are looking for a talented **Environmental Compliance Engineer** to join our team specializing in **Environment** in **Columbus, IN.**
**In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:**
+ **Facilitate Stakeholder Collaboration** : You will bring together cross-functional and global stakeholders to understand the impact of compliance regulations on Cummins businesses, fostering collaboration and alignment.
+ **Analyze and Communicate Compliance Information** : By analyzing and effectively communicating environmental compliance information to internal stakeholders, you will ensure everyone is informed and aligned with regulatory requirements.
+ **Lead Meetings and Trainings** : Your facilitation of meetings and trainings on compliance will enhance the team's understanding and adherence to environmental regulations.
+ **Support Environmental Projects** : As an active team member, you will contribute to environmental projects, helping to achieve team goals and improve environmental performance.
+ **Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts** : Working with experts from related groups, you will support efforts to improve compliance processes and identify opportunities for common processes and tools.
+ **Assist with Audits and Documentation** : Your involvement in internal and external environmental audits, resolving issues, and updating EMS documentation will ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
+ **Drive Resolution of Compliance Issues** : By escalating and driving the resolution of compliance questions and issues, you will help maintain regulatory adherence and address challenges promptly.
+ **Apply Engineering Knowledge** : Utilizing your engineering, scientific, and process skills, you will create innovative solutions, support corrective actions, and ensure environmental regulations are met across products, processes, components, and facilities.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education, Licenses, Certifications:**
+ College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business or related technical or scientific field required.
**Experience:**
+ Minimal level of relevant work experience required.
**Additional Responsibilities:**
**Regulatory Translation & Documentation**
+ Expertly interpret, translate, and document On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) regulatory requirements.
+ Maintain and update translated regulatory elements in Windchill RV&S.
**Collaboration & Change Management**
+ Work with regional Regulatory Affairs personnel and Technical SMEs to ensure accurate interpretation and translation of regulations into engineering requirements.
+ Implement global and regional regulatory translation change requests
**Stakeholder Communication & Continuous Improvement**
+ Communicate project status updates to key stakeholders.
+ Provide feedback to PC&RA teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Additional Skills:
+ University, or equivalent degree in Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Systems Engineering
+ Engineering Requirements Management / Systems Engineering
+ Good verbal and written communication
+ Application Lifecycle Management Tools like Windchill RV&S
Preferred Experience:
+ On board Diagnostic experience is a plus
+ 2-5 years in an engineering discipline is preferred
