MMA’s Environmental team consults with clients & prospects to identify, quantify, manage, and transfer environmental risk. We offer client-focused consulting and brokerage options to businesses in a variety of sectors including manufacturing, energy, healthcare, real estate, academic institutions, and construction. Our scientists and engineers advise clients in all aspects of environmental risk management, while our proprietary insurance products and coverage programs are tailored to our clients’ operations and projects.

A day in the life.

As our EH&S Specialist - Safety on the MMA-Environmental team, you’ll conduct worker safety (OSHA) and environmental (EPA) compliance audits and perform additional needs assessments to understand what each client may need. Our EH&S Specialist – Safety will develop and implement/conduct employee training on multiple safety/OSHA and environmental compliance related topics. You will also develop site specific written EH&S programs/policies, facilitate safety committee/emergency response team initiatives onsite for clients. Ultimately, the consultation provided will help clients reduce exposure to loss and help ensure clients are maintaining compliance with governmental agencies such as OSHA, EPA or State/Local agencies.

Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the futureBachelor’s degree in related field required (i.e. safety management, environmental health or other science related discipline)1-5 years minimum environmental health & safety experience in general industry or construction, or course related workStrong knowledge of state and federal Occupational Safety & Health laws (29CFR 1910)Working knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations including: Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Resource Conservation & Recovery Act

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:

Related professional certifications (e.g. ASP, CSP, CHMM, etc.)Bi-lingual (Spanish) skills are a plus

The applicable base salary range for this role is $47,200 to $87,800.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
