THE ROLE
As the EHS Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and maintaining safety policies and procedures tailored to the unique demands of our fulfillment operations. Your responsibilities encompass various tasks, from conducting regular safety inspections to participating in safety committee meetings and investigating incidents. You will collaborate closely with management and safety supervisors from additional Thrive Market fulfillment sites to deliver comprehensive safety training programs, monitor compliance with regulations, and recommend improvements to enhance workplace safety practices and equipment.RESPONSIBILITIESImplement and maintain safety policies and procedures for Thrive Market’s fulfillment operationsConduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with regulationsCollaborate with management to deliver safety training programs for employeesInvestigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actionsMonitor and enforce safety regulations, including OSHA standards and company policiesParticipate in safety committee meetings and cross-functional safety initiativesMaintain accurate records of safety-related activities, including training, inspections, and incidentsRecommend and implement improvements to workplace safety practices and equipmentServe as a resource for employees regarding safety concerns and best practicesStay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to fulfillment safetyReport on KPIs to the leadership teamParticipate in new hire orientation, outlining the company’s high expectations regarding safety rules and regulations, and maintain all training recordsAssist with implementing action plans and corrective actionsKEY QUALIFICATIONSMinimum of 6 to 12 months of experience in safety, environmental, or healthAbility to work flexible hours to support the safety needs of Thrive Market across various shiftsProficiency in assessing risks and developing effective solutionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with employees at all levelsDetail-oriented with strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records and documentationAbility to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines[Preferred] Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., BLS, OSHA30, CSP, ASP, OHST)[Preferred] In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards[Preferred] Proven track record of developing and implementing safety programs[Preferred] Experience in conducting safety training and managing safety committees[Preferred] Proficiency in relevant software applicationsBELONG TO A BETTER COMPANYComprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, and disability)Competitive pay + equityMultiple work schedules availableOpportunities for advancement.
