The Masstron Producing Organization (MTMS) designs, develops, and produces products within the METTLER TOLEDO Vehicle and Heavy Capacity product families and serves in direct support of the Vehicle Scale Strategic Business Unit which develops and implements the strategic direction of the global vehicle scale product line. The team requires a reliable leader with a strong background in Environment Health & Safety Management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and execute strategies that lead directly to the yearly improvement of the Environmental, Health, & Safety Culture of the Masstron Producing Organization.Effectively communicate and interact with both internal and external stakeholders in a manner consistent with METTLER TOLEDO Visions and ValuesBe hands-on, proactive and highly visible while driving all Safety initiativesLead Continuous Improvement initiatives related to Environmental, Health, & SafetyDevelop and maintain processes and standards to ensure a safe, secure facility meeting OSHA and regulatory requirementsProvide and lead comprehensive safety training programs, including new hire, visitor, annual OSHA, and SafeStart human error reduction trainingFoster a culture of safety by training team members, driving unsafe condition & Near Miss reporting, and participating in root cause analysisConduct weekly safety audits, eye wash and fire extinguisher inspections, Safety Safari audits, annual evacuation drills, and other relevant EH&S activitiesMonitor and control Environmental and Safety expenses to achieve budgetary objectivesEnsure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements related to EH&S standardsCreate, maintain, and implement EH&S improvement roadmapsBuild working relationships with the plant management, supervisors, production teams and their SME's (Subject Matter Experts)Implement and lead an employee involved Safety CommitteeDevelop and implement the Safety Improvement Plan (SIP)Ensure compliance with all environmental and safety regulations, including hazardous waste handling per Ohio EPA policiesParticipate in sustainability initiatives via the MT Green team to achieve goals like zero waste to landfill and carbon emissions reductionManage all EH&S documentation, reporting, SharePoint sites, and government reporting requirements (OSHA, EPA, GAIA reporting), implementing improvements as neededAct as a company leader and representative at all times in the best interest of METTLER TOLEDO while balancing the needs and requirements of the teamWhat You Need to SucceedQualifications:Excellent people skills, open to change, collaborative work styleExcellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and influence a diverse production teamStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify issues, and implement effective solutionsFamiliarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologiesKnowledge of safety protocols and regulatory requirements in manufacturing environmentsStrong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasksResults-driven mindsetAbility to work with minimal or no supervision; ability to communicate, plan, and organize for themselves and othersFlexibility regarding weekend work scheduling.  (Every effort will be made to minimize weekend work, but at times it will be required by the operation.)
Education, Experience & Skills:Bachelor's degree (B.
