The Tactical Software and Autonomy Solutions (TSAS) team at i3 supports DoD customers in developing cutting-edge autonomy software architectures to distribute autonomous control across a diverse assortment of uncrewed air, ground, surface, and subsurface platforms.
The team is seeking a Systems Engineer with 0-3 years of professional experience to embed with a software development team, assisting with the development of requirements and artifacts, and performing extensive testing of software and systems in development. This is a new project leveraging modern tools to track, develop, deploy, and test software development projects.
This position is contingent on funding with an anticipated mid to late September start time frame.
Responsibilities Candidate will develop and maintain standardized, testable requirements based on customer and collaborator input. Candidate will be responsible for testing and documentation associated with developing software applications. Candidate will be responsible for familiarizing themself with cloud-based infrastructure and tooling. Candidate will perform demonstrations and interface with customers to ensure product meets end customer goals. Candidate will support software development teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Must be a US Citizen.Active Secret Clearance preferred. Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance prior to start.Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or the hard sciences 0 to 3 years of experience required.Candidate must be a team player and be creative, adaptive, and excited to learn. Candidate must have experience with technical writing.Candidate must have experience (academic or professional) developing requirements and test plans.Candidate must have familiarity with Agile Scrum development methodology and associated tools.Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with documentation tools such as Texmaker and PlantUML.Have familiarity with a configuration management software tool.Experience supporting field demonstrations.Familiarity with basic networking and troubleshooting techniques.Familiarity with cloud infrastructure.Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)Familiarity with drones and/or RC Planes, boats, or ground vehicles.Familiarity with web development.Physical Demands:
