Job Description
The Quality Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards for our customers. This position involves data collection and analysis to support manufacturing specifications, confirmation testing, and solving quality issues.
ResponsibilitiesCollect and analyze test data using various equipment and methods.Test, evaluate, and implement new technologies to enhance equipment and process efficiency.Write technical reports to document analysis and countermeasure activities.Review and analyze daily reports to identify safety, quality, and delivery gaps, and develop potential countermeasures.Execute analysis plans for quality concerns and lead problem-solving efforts using data analysis and PDCA.Support the development and conclusion of analysis plans for quality issues.Propose countermeasures, including process or specification changes.Essential SkillsExperience in quality engineering and assurance.Supplier quality and root cause analysis expertise.Automotive quality knowledge.Mechanical Engineering degree.Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality management.PPAP proficiency.Additional Skills & Qualifications0-6 years of experience, depending on education.Co-op or internship experience preferred.Engineering degree required.Positive attitude and team player mindset.Ability to solve complex problems with effective countermeasures.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Self-motivated with a desire to work in a manufacturing environment.Work Environment
The work environment consists of 50% office area, 40% laboratory area, and 10% production areas. Expect approximately 4-8 hours of overtime per week and less than 5% travel, excluding other Ohio facilities. The role involves working with hand/power tools, quality gauging, and instrumentation within an engineering team of five in the automotive manufacturing sector. Attire is casual with free drinks available onsite.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $84000.00/yr.
