Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is hiring an Entry-Level or Associate LevelManufacturing Planner to join the Patriot Advanced Capability 3 (PAC-3) team located in Huntsville, AL. This position will support the production rate increase and advanced technology upgrade activities. This role will be involved in production support activities as well as continuous development projects improving manufacturing.

Boeing Huntsville has multi-year contracts to develop, manufacture, and test the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) missile seeker and future improvements. These contracts are driving significant, long-term growth for the PAC-3 engineering team on the Huntsville campus.

Shift Work Statement: This position is for a B or C Shift. 

B Shift: M-Th; 4x10 – Starts at 4pm

C Shift: F/Sa/Su; 3x12 – Starts at 6am

Shifts may be eligible for a shift differential and subject to availability

Position Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes and planningCollaborate with the manufacturing engineering team to review manufacturing build flows for planning producibilityCreate and maintain manufacturing work instructionsIdentify and resolve manufacturing issues to improve product quality and production efficiencyLead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and enhance overall manufacturing performanceEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Experience in manufacturing planning & production supportExperience in CAD software and manufacturing simulation toolsExperience reading, interpreting, and enforcing standardized manufacturing processes, work instructions, and engineering drawing and process proceduresExcellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

1+ years of experience in manufacturing planning & production supportSTEM focused Associate’s degreeExperience in Model-Based DesignExperience in Geometric Dimensioning and TolerancingExperience in MESci or similar Manufacturing systemExperience in Material Resource Planning (MRP) Systems (eg. CompassContract)Experience in CAD software suitesExperience in Windchill or similar engineering management databasesStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to various audiences

Typical Education/Experience:

Level 1: related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

Level 2: 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range:

Entry-Level (Level 1): $46,750 - $63,250

Associate (Level 2): $56,100 - $75,900
