Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Geologist for its Northeast Wisconsin operations.  The position will be based in the Oshkosh or Green Bay, Wisconsin office, with projects generally located in the Fox Valley, but may also be located throughout Wisconsin or the Midwest. This position will support our Remediation team within our Environment business line.

This position is expected to begin in August 2025.

Job Overview:

The Entry-Level Geologist will support our Remediation team both in the field and in the office. We are seeking a motivated candidate who would like to develop and advance in a full-time environmental remediation career. The responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to:

Conducting environmental field work, including collecting soil, groundwater, gas, air, and remediation system data, groundwater sampling, fluid level gauging and oversight of field surveys, drilling, well installation, development operations and utility clearance for intrusive operations.Field document preparation, field data collection, processing, and interpretation.Supporting office tasks, including data analysis and report preparation.Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure complianceTravel to project locations. Most project locations are local, but some project locations may include overnight stays. Projects are often located in the Fox Valley but may also be located throughout Wisconsin or the Midwest.Position will require OSHA 40-hour hazardous site worker training.Requires general familiarity within a broad field of scientific knowledge of reciprocal effects of the work upon other disciplines/fields.Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance. Conducts analysis and investigation work obtained from a variety of sources. Performs inspections and tests to ensure compliance. 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Geological Sciences, and/or Environmental Science.Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required.Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.

Preferred Qualifications:

OSHA 40-hour certification a plus.Great oral and written communication skills.

Additional InformationRelocation assistance is not available for this position.Candidate will submit to medical surveillance screening upon hire.Travel may be required for 50 to 75% of the time.
